Videos
Children today are visual learners, so we use videos to bring our materials to life.
Our films turn complex ideas into real-world stories. They also give teachers flexible tools and help students connect lessons with everyday life, sparking curiosity and confidence.
Money. Explained. With Sky Kids and First News
We are exciting to be collaborating with the First News and SkyKids team on
their I Don’t Get it series.
Partnering with City A.M. to Inspire the Next Generation
We were delighted to partner with City AM at our most recent Enterprise Challenge Grand Finale, where the language of entrepreneurship brought financial education vividly to life. Entrepreneurship becomes applied financial literacy, giving real world context and energy to classroom learning.
Presenting to a packed audience of parents, teachers and friends adds another powerful dimension. Standing on stage and articulating an idea under scrutiny builds confidence. Students learn to organise their thinking, speak with clarity and respond to questions with composure.
Rupert Hargreaves, Managing Editor of City AM, ably chaired a distinguished panel of judges, guiding the discussion with insight and ensuring students were both challenged and encouraged in a setting that reflected the seriousness of their work.
The City of London Empowering the Next Generation
The Livery Academy Awards is an innovative program designed for City livery companies to engage with state schools to help stimulate business and entrepreneurial skills among their sixth-form pupils.
The school teams are given a brief to develop a business idea and present it to an industry standard to a distinguished panel of judges and an audience of company members. The companies provide each team with mentors from finance and marketing/advertising/creative sectors, ideally drawn from their membership.
The program, started in 2013, has now expanded to four livery companies (Grocers, Merchant Taylors, Haberdashers and Drapers). The Grand Final is hosted by the Lord Mayor at Mansion House in the City of London.
City Pay it Forward is proud to be collaborate with the livery companies on this very prestigious program and to produce guidance videos for student teams to prepare for the competition.

Bringing Parents and Children into the Same Conversation
We were given the opportunity to present to more than 250 parents and year six students together, opening up a shared conversation about money and the importance of this essential life skill. Bringing the family into the dialogue in the same room is particularly powerful. When parents and children hear the same message at the same time, it creates a common language and understanding that can continue at home long after the presentation ends. Children feel supported rather than lectured, and parents feel equipped rather than excluded.
Financial literacy is not simply learned in a classroom, it is shaped by everyday conversations around saving, spending and decision making. By engaging families together, we help turn abstract lessons into practical habits, strengthening confidence on both sides and reinforcing the idea that money skills are a shared journey, not a solitary one.
